Today's screen time
How time is counted
Time counts while a managed account has an unlocked session. Two computers used at once consume two minutes for each minute that passes. Time to share is allowance not yet reserved. Held time is reserved by a computer and may still be usable there, even when time to share is zero. Uncertain time was conservatively charged after an interruption.
Everyday controls
Extra time is for today only. The schedule still applies.
Ending a manual pause keeps daily limits and schedules in place.
Allow a temporary exception
Choose the limits to relax and how long the exception should last. It ends by midnight in the child's timezone.

Recent requests
Offline computers receive requests when they reconnect. Observe mode receives pauses but does not enforce them.

Connection, installation and updates in one place.
Client updates
Computers check for updates every hour, with a small random delay. Updates wait until the managed account is fully signed out, including locked and TTY sessions. Updates preserve pairing, usage and settings; a failed health check restores the previous agent. A running desktop helper picks up its update at the next sign-in.
Automatic updates cover the agent and helper. Login hooks, the Bazzite gate RPM and operating-system updates need administrator review.
Before enabling login enforcement
Start with observe mode and confirm that time and lock detection match this computer. Create a separate parent administrator account and test recovery before enabling login restrictions. Bazzite also requires a tested, persistently installed gate RPM with SELinux enabled.

What happened
Activity
Requests, usage and computer health, with technical details when needed.
Privacy and retention
The app reports account sessions and computer health. It does not collect application names, screenshots, browsing history, keystrokes or hardware serial numbers.
Remove activity history
This deletes activity events; time allowances, computer records and policies are preserved.
Administrator access can bypass controls. Agent reports help with operations; they are not a tamper-proof record.
